December 16th, 2021 : Montego Bay Sets Pandemic Tourist Record

Despite the recent fast spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport welcomed 7,000 passengers on Saturday December 11th, the most arrivals in a single day since the reopening of the country’s borders in June 2020. December 8th, 2021 : Cancun Tourism Arrivals Surpass 2019 Figures

Optimism for a tourism recovery took another step forward in Mexico this week as passenger arrivals at Cancun International Airport continue to surpass 2019 levels. See here an article by Caribbean Journal.

November 1st, 2021 : Margaritaville Opens in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic

October 12th, 2021 : Caribbean Tourism Revival Out-Performs Rest of the World

According to arrivals numbers released by the Caribbean Tourism Organization the region continues to out-perform the rest of the world in terms of recovery. See here an article by Travel Pulse.

September 21st, 2021 : Six Senses Belize Resort Announced for 2025

Yet another new development has been announced for Ambergris Caye, Belize with a proposed Six Senses branded property. It will comprise a beachfront location on Ambergris Caye plus a private island retreat. Read more at this Hotel News Resource page.

June 22nd, 2021 : Ritz-Carlton Opens in Turks & Caicos

The Ritz-Carlton has opened on Providenciales, Turks & Caicos with 147 oceanfront guest rooms. This will undoubtably add to visitor numbers during what is proving to be a busy summer for tourism within the country. See here the Ritz-Carlton in an article by Travel Pulse.

May 6th, 2021 : Alaia Autograph Opens in Belize

We are thrilled to see this beautiful property opening on Ambergris Caye, Belize and are proud to have been part of an amazingly talented and determined team that made this possible despite the challenges of the pandemic. August 11th, 2020 : Caribbean "Work from Paradise" Program

Playa Hotels have come up with a novel idea to sell long-term room nights at their Caribbean all-inclusive resorts by enticing home-workers to enjoy a productive space in a beautiful spot while escaping from everyday household chores. August 8th, 2020 : New Barbados Hub for interCaribbean Airlines

We read with interest the establishing of a new hub at Barbados Grantley Adams Airport by interCaribbean Airlines flying initially to Grenada, St Lucia, St Vincent and Dominica and planning also flights to Antigua, Trinidad and Guyana. We have seen the airline grow year by year from what we first knew as local carrier Air Turks & Caicos into a truly regional Caribbean airline. We wish them every success as they join more islands across their network. See their current route network here.

July 30th, 2020 : Mandarin Oriental Canouan Reopens

Formerly the Pinks Sands Club, the Mandarin Oriental Canouan has reopened with arrivals subject to standard COVID-19 PCR testing protocols laid down by the Government of St Vincent & The Grenadines. July 27th, 2020 : Caribbean Unveils Initiatives to Support Tourism Sector

Caribbean hotel, tourism and health officials have unveiled a new initiative they say will help safeguard the health of travelers and employers within the tourism sector. Read here the article from the Caribbean National Weekly.

July 25th, 2020 : Dominica Reopening to Visitors on August 7th

Known as the "Nature Island" and justly so, Dominica is reopening its borders to all visitors on August 7th subject to COVID-19 screening processes. We wish the country well and especially those at the Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica, a stunning resort with which we were involved through opening in 2019. July 24th, 2020 : Sandals to Open a Beaches Resort on St Vincent

We have learnt that luxury all-inclusive resort pioneer Sandals is to re-imagine and completely transform the shuttered Buccament Bay property on St Vincent into a Beaches family resort. Wherever Sandals go then tourism arrivals are sure to increase, helped no doubt by the opening in 2017 of Argyle International Airport enabling large jets to fly into St Vincent. Read here in Travel Week article.

July 22nd, 2020 : Turks & Caicos Islands Reopens to Tourism

The Turks & Caicos islands "Beautiful by Nature" has today opened its borders to tourism and many of the resorts with which we have worked have reopened to coincide, including The Shore Club, The Palms, The Sands and Amanyara. Read here the Caribbean Journal article.  

July 13th, 2020 : Barbados Reopens to Tourism

Barbados has reopened its borders accepting tourism arrivals as of July 12th, along with a number of top resorts and with more to come. Sensible precautionary measures have been put in place to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Read here the Caribbean Journal article.

July 6th, 2020 : Antigua & Barbuda Updates Entry Protocols

Having been one of the first Caribbean nations to reopen its borders to visitors on June 4th, Antigua & Barbuda has updated its entry requirements to include showing negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result within seven days of travel. Read here more details in the Travel Week article.

July 1st, 2020 : Bahamas Reopens to International Visitors

The Bahamas has today reopened its borders to international visitors, who are required to demonstrate a negative result to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within tend day of intended arrival. Read here more details in Caribbean Journal article.

June 15th, 2020 : Latest Plans for Caribbean Resort Reopening

Details are emerging of the planned reopening of hotels and resorts across the Caribbean in line with the easing of arrival restrictions by a raft of countries. Of course, all of this is subject to change however see here the update from Travel Weekly.
